Scór na nÓg

Dancers 'jig' their way to All-Ireland

This Saturday the Maynooth Céilí Dance team will be representing Maynooth, Kildare and Leinster as they take part in the All_ierland Scór na nÓg competition in Athlone RTC. Having danced to achieve the County title and Leinster title, they will now be against stiff opposition from Armagh in Ulster, Leitrim in Connacht, and Kerry in Munster.  This is the girls second year in a row reaching the All Ireland and hopefully the experience from last year will help them in this years competition.

On behalf of the club may we wish them the best of luck as they are the first team in Maynooth Gaa to reach an All Ireland this year.

There is plenty of talent in the club, both Junior and Senior. Senior Scór is not as well supported as it should be. Maybe some of the "comedians" in the club could get together for the Novelty Act. It is a well know fact that the Bar contains many "experts" on topics such as History, General Knowledge and, of course, the GAA, they will even tell you that themselves.

There are many great singers and plenty of musicians in the club and within the commmunity. If you have something to offer please act now and contact Rita using the details above.
