U-13 Camogie consolidate position at top of the league

Maynooth 2-3 Kill 1-0

Maynooth's u-13 camogie girls put in a fine performance to record a good away victory against a strong Kill team on Wednesday night. Scores from Roisin O'Neill (0-2) and Aoife Greally (1-0) left Maynooth leading by 1-2 to 1-0 at half-time. Second half scores from O'Neill (0-1) and Laoise Millar (1-0) helped the girls to a deserved victory on a final score of 2-3 to 1-0. With six wins out of eight in the championship to date the latest victory secures the girls' place in the championship semi-final with two rounds of the league still remaining.

Maynooth u-13 camogie win thrilling encounter

Celbridge 1-2
Maynooth 3-2

After falling 5 points behind within 15 minutes Maynooth u-13's staged a terrific comeback to defeat Celbridge and complete a championship double over the reigning county champions.  A goal just before half-time by Saoirse NiChonichan-Bhrian narrowed the the deficit to two points at the interval. Second half scores by Edel Murray (2-0), Aoife Lynch (0-1) and Roisin O'Neill (0-1), combined with some wonderful defending and goalkepping, which help keep the hosts scoreless for the last 35 minutes of the game, saw Maynooth record a fine victory in what was a wonderful display of camogie by both sides.

U-13 camogie record good away win in Naas

Naas 0-3
Maynooth 1-3

A very young Maynooth team put in a fine perfromance to defeat Naas in the 5th round of the championship on Wednesday night. An excellent goal from Ailis McMillan and 3 points from Roisin O'Neill were enough to secure a deserved victory against a determined Naas team.

U-13's lose out to Rathcoffey

Maynooth 0-3

Rathcoffey 1-1

Maynooth put in a dissapointing display when going down by a point in their 4th round league match at home to Rathcoffey on Tuesday evening. Maynooth trailed 1-1 to 0-0 at half time but lifted their game in the second half. Excellent second half points by Saoirse NiChoinichan and Aoife Greally (0-2) left just a point between the teams with 5 minutes left but the poor first half showing left the girls with too much ground to make up and Rathcoffey's defense held firm to secure victory by a single point.

U-13 camogie defeat Celbridge

The Maynooth U-13 camogie girls had an excellent home win in their third round league game against a strong Celbridge outfit. Maynooth opened the scoring with a well-struck point but a goal midway through the first half saw Celbridge lead by two points at half-time. However, second half goals from Aoife Greally and Roisin O'Neill saw Maynooth run out deserving 4 point winners.

Maynooth 2-1 Celbridge 1-0.
