U-11 camogie final ends all square after extra time

The u-11 camogie final in Kilcock on Sunday 4th October was no place for the faint-hearted as Maynooth and Naas went toe to toe in a titanic battle for the Division 1 title. The prediction that this game would go right to the wire proved correct, as an additional ten minutes of extra time was not enough to seperate the rivals at the end of a wonderful sporting occasion. While both teams will feel that they could have come away from Kilcock as Division 1 champions, the replay offers the propsect of another great clash in what is fast becoming one of the great match-ups in underage camogie in the county. The date for the replay will be posted as soon as it is announced.

Naas 1-2 Maynooth 1-1

Maynooth U-11 camogie went down to a one point deat away to Naas on Tuesday evening. In an excellent game between two well-matched and skillfull teams Maynooth were defeated by a goal in the closing stages after having lead throughout the game. The girls' next game is at home to Celbridge on Tuesday 8th September.
