The second team have made it through to the quarter-finals of the senior A reserve championship courtesy of their two point win over Clane on Monday night (24 August). Score difference decided the quarter-finalists in the end and Maynooth were able to scrape in.

The second team footballers picked up an encouraging win in the second round of the new Senior A Reserve championship with a two point win against Clane on Monday night (24 August), 0-12 to 1-7. Having lost their first round match Maynooth will depend on score difference to see them through to the quarter-finals.

Seconds lose out to Castlemitchell

Maynooth's second team footballers suffered their second straight defeat of the campaign when they lost out to Castlemitchell in the second round of SFL division three on Sunday (2-9 to 0-6) by six points.
