Maynooth play host to Kildare

Maynooth take on Kildare in a challenge match on Fri 3rd September on the Moyglare Road.

Do I have your attention? Good.

To rephrase: Maynooth U13 Ladies take on Kildare U12 Ladies in a challenge match on Fri next. Throw in is at 6.45 and all are most welcome to come and see future ladies GAA stars in action.

The big question is which dugout Deaglan (manager of both teams) will be sitting in.

This is the final warm up for the U13s who start their league campaign next Wed with a home match against Naas.

The Kildare squad are in final preparation for the U12 Provincial Blitz which takes place on Sep 11th in Carlow.

 

U13 Girls football

Girls U13 football training has resumed. Training is on Friday nights 7.00 - 8.30 in GAA.

The girls will play in Division 2 of the Autumn League along with Ballykelly, Cappagh, Castledermot, Na Fianna & Naas. First match is at home to Naas on Wednesday 8th Sept. @ 6.30pm 

 

U14 girls off to winning start

The U14 girls got rheir league campaign off to a winning start against Kildangan/Nurney on 15/4 in Maynooth. The home side led by 6-4 to 2-2 at halftime and ran out easy winners in the end by 7-6 to 2-3. Aoife Greally and Louise Qualter topped the scoring with 3-2 each.

 

Girls Feile this week-end

Under 14 girls footballers play in the Feile finals this week-end. Having safely negotiated their qualifying group against Milltown and Carbury the U14 girls take on the girls from Kill in the quarter final on Saturday at 3pm in Moorefield. A semi final meetig with the winners of Balyna/St Laurences awaits the winners at 4pm. The final will be played at 5.15.

 

Full draw:

Balyna or St. Laurences play Maynooth or Kill

Sarsfields or Eadestown play Leixlip or Cappagh

Winners of each group play in Final

 

Girls Féile footballers begin campaign

The under-14 footballers begin their quest for Feile glory this week when they take part in the qualifying round of the 2010 Féile Chill Dara.  The qualifying round takes place in Carbury GAA on Saturday, 27 March. Carbury play host to the girls from Maynooth and Milltown. Maynooth play Milltown at 11am and the hosts at 12pm, with the winners of the group going forward to the knock-out stages, which take place after Easter.
