Conor Davin might have scored the vital goal but goalkeeper Cillian Campbell was the real saviour for Maynooth with a string of saves that helped them win the division one football shield title.

Although nothing could stop Willie McCarthy's 23rd minute goal for Kilcock, Campbell stopped everything else that Kilcock threw at him and when Conor Davin netted to put Maynooth in front after half-time it paved the way for a fine win.
